Marco Assis
Chief Executive Officer & Partner
Taking on the role of CEO in 2019, Marco oversees all company functions, establishing company culture, policies, and best practices. He provides vision for our Technology team, and drives initiatives in Strategy, Finance, Operations, and Interpreter Quality.
Prior to joining Propio in 2017, Marco spent ten years working in key financial positions in various countries for Shell Oil Company and Puma Energy. Marco received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from UFRJ/Brazil and attended business school programs in Australia and the U.S. with a focus in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.
Joe Samoszenko
Chief Revenue Officer
Company role
Joe joined Propio in 2018. Since joining he has been involved in various aspects of the business helping build Propio from a small language service provider to one of the largest globally. He works most closely with Propio’ s client facing and operational teams.
Background
Prior to joining Propio, Joe worked as an investment analyst, most recently at Morgan Stanely where he was responsible for security analysis across various sectors. Joe earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance and MSF from the Henry W Bloch School of Business at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Chris Pesce
Chief Financial Officer
Company role
Chris oversees all financial operations and reporting of the company, including maintenance of financial systems, FP&A, and internal audit. He works closely with the CEO to provide strategic financial insight to the leadership team, while maintaining strong bank and vendor relations.
Background
Chris is a licensed CPA and has more than 15 years of experience in corporate finance roles of increasing responsibility. He has worked for multiple private equity backed companies and has specialized experience in merger & acquisition diligence and integration. Before entering language services, his experience was primarily in the freight industry. Chris lives in Lee’s Summit, MO with his wife and two children.
Stefani Voorhees
Chief Human Resources Officer
Company role
Stefani oversees all functions of the Human Resources department, including succession planning, health and welfare plan designs, talent acquisition, training and development, employee relations, and employee engagement.
Background
An innovative leader in human resources, employee engagement and organizational strategy, Stefani develops and implements people-focused programs that drive an outstanding workplace culture and experience. She has led HR programs in a variety of industries and holds a bachelor’s degree in human resource management as well as her SHRM-SCP.
Carson Lattimore
Chief Strategy Officer
Company role
Carson oversees corporate Mergers and Acquistions (M&A) strategy as well as M&A integration and process improvement.
Background
Carson received a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from Clemson University and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Alabama. Carson has more than 10 years of professional experience spanning various industries. Mostly recently, he led M&A and Strategic Investing at Western & Southern. Prior roles included time spent at Affordable Language Services, Panmure Capital, Goldman Sachs and EDENS.
Dylan Smith
Chief Client Officer
Company Role
Dylan oversees the client-facing teams at Propio, from implementation to long-term relationships and growth.
Background
Dylan first grew interested in languages obtaining an East Asian Languages and Cultures degree at the University of Kansas. His professional experience includes healthcare, IT, consulting, and data analysis. Dylan and his teams strive to create a client experience that blends these disciplines to deliver best-in-class partnership at a global scale.
Chris LaCour
Chief Information Officer
Company Role
Chris oversees the people, processes, and technologies within Propio’s IT department.
Background
Chris has been working in the technology field for more than three decades and has served in nearly every possible position in IT. His passion and what he considers his area of expertise is helping develop talented engineers and technical leaders. He has spent much of his time at Propio building out the technology career paths of his department, as his primary focus is ensuring that the technology division is knowledgeable, scalable, effective, and desirable for employees and clients—both existing and prospective.
Donnie Dooley
Chief Technology Officer
Company Role
Donnie is responsible for integrating cutting-edge technology and data-driven insights into the company’s strategic vision, fostering innovation, and driving sustainable growth through optimized product development and advanced data methodologies.
Background
With over 20 years in the Healthcare and IT industries, Donnie spent 17+ years at Cerner as a software engineer/architect and held various engineering leadership roles within the company. In 2021, he led the engineering organization at 98point6, a healthcare startup that provides on-demand virtual primary care, before accepting the role of CTO at Propio. He currently lives in Lee’s Summit with his wife and three children.
